This design project focused on increasing the versatility and usability of a residence with limited space and budget. The main objective was to repurpose small, existing areas—including converting a closet—to add essential functionality and maximize the apartment's livability without compromising aesthetic appeal.

The primary work involved clever spatial reconfiguration. 2MO transformed an existing closet into a new bathroom with a standing shower. To add flexibility, pocket doors were used to create a distinct, new bedroom, offering privacy when needed. The kitchen was renovated to achieve a bright and airy finish. Throughout the neutral color palette, colorful hardware accents were incorporated to bring pops of color and life to the space.

The outcome is a more versatile and highly functional residence where small spaces have been optimized for greater usability. The new bathroom and flexible bedroom solution addressed the client’s need for increased practicality. Combined with the bright kitchen finish and playful hardware accents, the home feels elevated and airy, demonstrating how creativity can overcome limitations in both space and budget.
