Due to COVID, the clients aimed to relocate from Manhattan to Yonkers and purchased a historic co-op. They wanted to preserve its midcentury character, maintain the kitchen, and integrate sophisticated modern improvements in all other areas.

During the project, 2MO replaced all hardwood flooring to establish a seamless, unified foundation. 2MO completely reconfigured the bathroom layout to install a modern, curbless walk-in shower with a seamless tiled slope for excellent drainage and added underfloor heating for superior comfort. 2MO built custom pantry cabinets and frameless closets flush with the walls and doors—a key detail to achieve the requested clean, integrated, and architecturally subtle look.

The outcome is a home that balances heritage with modern functionality. The bathroom is now sleek, comfortable, and durable, while the frameless closets and flush cabinetry reinforce a refined, cohesive appearance throughout the rooms. The precise execution of the underfloor heating and curbless shower ensures the space meets demanding modern living standards while retaining its timeless appeal.
